A negative electrode material for a battery, the negative electrode material comprising: carbon; tungsten trioxide formed on a surface of the carbon; and silicon formed on the surface of the carbon, wherein based on 100% by weight as a total content of the carbon, the tungsten trioxide, and the silicon, a ratio of a content of the silicon to a content of the tungsten trioxide is in a range of 0.2 or more to 2.5 or less. 2 . The negative electrode material according to claim 1 , wherein the carbon, the tungsten trioxide, and the silicon are composited. 3 . The negative electrode material according to claim 1 , wherein the carbon is composited with the tungsten trioxide, and the carbon is composited with the silicon.
